I am Mr. Hosam El-Kininy, a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist where I was an integral member of the Obstetrics team at the The Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise for over 20 years. Our unit was fully integrated with the Coombe Womens and Infant University Hospital, Dublin. Working within this network has been a very enriching experience, with easy access to referral pathways for complex cases requiring sub specialist treatments and multidisciplinary discussions about such cases. I have had mainly positive reports about my service within this diverse network. I am a leader in ultrasound and am involved in the training of both midwifery and junior Doctor staff.

I have a Fellowship in the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London. In addition, I have a Surgical Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. I have Membership of the Royal of College of Physicians of Ireland. I have a Diploma in Obstetric Ultrasound from The Joint Royal Colleges of Radiology and Royal College of Obstetric and Gynaecology since 2002 and can perform ultrasound training of new doctors and midwifery staff.

I have a Diploma in Hospital Management since 2004. I have accreditation in Colposcopy from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I have an MD degree in Obtetrics and Gynaecology from Cairo in Egypt since 1985.

At my Private Rooms I am glad to offer an excellent antenatal and gynaecology service in addition to offering the only 3 and 4D scan service in the midlands.
